Bergen Here We Come

Yesterday was another great one. We came to the Bergen coastline around midday and set foot on land on a small Island called, Bomlo. My brother went to a kind of recreational college there for a year so it was cool to check it out. Elias wanted to check out a body of a BMW, so we went a shore and took a short walk up the location of the car.

Looks good, but according to Elias it was quite rusty some places.

The little I saw of the Island, I got the impression of a nice place to live if you like to live exposed to the sea.

We passed a pretty famous Norwegian ship towards Stephans' place, called Christian Radich.

Tourists can pay so sail some distances with it and these people right here were definitely tourists! Look at them dangling!

After spending an hour on the Island, we set sail again and started cruising towards Stephans place, which is about 16 nautical miles from Bergen. When we came there, his family and girlfriend was waiting for a us with a epic BBQ. We basically came to a set table with all the meat and salad we could eat. It didn't hurt at all! And the view from his house weren't too bad either.

Elias was flipping happy to be at the mainland again. Or maybe not. I'm just guessing really!

We witnessed a pretty cool thing while hanging out there. The neighbors decided to remove a part of a mountain because it had a big crack. It and was hanging just over the pier where they eat and chill out during the summer. The crack had become pretty big so they decided to take matters in their own hands before nature did.

So they jammed a big pole into the mountain crack and started pulling with the tractor.

And sure enough..

The whole thing split loose from the mountain and fell right down on the pier and smashed the whole thing. Big chunks of rocks just everywhere. Almost hit a boat that was moored there. It was freakin amazing to watch!!

That pier is pretty fucked up right now!  That boat on the right side was lucky to escape any damages!

Not every day you get to witness something crazy like that.

Anyways, after that, Elias, Stephan, his girlfriend and me, yes me too, went for a 3k run. Haven't had a run since I got hit by a car on my bike last fall so nice to get going again. I basically topped the whole day with a swim and some night snack down on the boat.

Cold as f*** I'll tell you!
