It's 3 in the morning here at Traena and it's bright as daylight outside. Or not maybe bright as daylight, but it's not dark to put it that way and the sun is about to rise. I figured it's better to write here in the early morning when everybody is sleeping. Makes it easier to concentrate and I can get more out of the day. We have moved ourselves from the main Island at Traena to the little one just across the fjord. It's supposed to have a population of 500 combined; 400 on the main island and 100 here, but we kind of find that hard to believe as every house we have passed here is pretty much abandoned. With that said, this is an absolute amazing place. Surrounded by mountains in the middle of the ocean and super exposed to all kinds of weather. It's the kind of place all Norwegians brag about to foreigners, but where they have never actually been. With that said, this place has lost its innonce a long time ago considering the festival that's been held here since 2003. It's become really popular the last few years and they are expecting 6000 people here in July. Not super unknown anymore I guess, but still a fantastic place.
Anywho, we had an awesome day and when your're surrounded by mountains, of course you gotta climb them. Like the bosses that we are, the highest one was the one we chose. With Stephan and Elias contributing with guiding and ropes, we made it to the top after a few hours. Sickest view we've had so far and I made sure to document the whole thing. Think I'm just gonna show all the shots below. Would be nice to get some sleep before everybody gets up again.
Not much to complain about is there? We are gonna stay here for another day and explore some more. Make sure to check back as I'm sure there will be plenty of more to come. I'm gonna try and get some sleep now.
See you later, alligator. Sleep tight dynamite.
Peace and Love!
